So I'm finishing up my TMDSAS application and realizing that I hardly have any volunteer work. I'm thinking about just forgetting it and holding off this cycle. Do you guys think it's worth applying this year with these stats?

Non-healthcare volunteer hours: 25 hours
Healthcare volunteer hours: 35 hours
Shadowing: 50 hours
GPA: 3.65 overall/3.65 science
DAT: 23AA/22TS/24PAT

I've worked a job at a doctor's office (NOT dentist) my entire undergrad career for 8 hours a week, taken 15-16 credits a semester, and I recently got elected as officer of an organization I'm in. Is all of that enough to make up for practically no volunteer hours? Thank you guys so much in advance for your opinions!

I'd still apply because you have great stats overall. Try to get more hours in before you submit your application.

I think your shadowing hours are more of a concern than your volunteer hours. Try to get that number up to 100.

It's not really important. I had 0 and got many interviews even after applying extremely late and it was never brought up during interviews. You want to get your shadowing up to over 100 hours though.

many people work too much to volunteer.

Thank you everyone for the reassurance! I will keep trucking along with my application and try to get some more hours over summer.
