I might be getting a C in molecular biology this semester, this class is definitely the "weed out" class in our school and almost everyone fails all this guy's tests. I've never gotten a C, but could it possibly affect my acceptance in anyway, even though they have already made a decision. I've been accepted to NSU-COM and LECOM, and am about to put a deposit down for one of them. I have all As in my other classes. Also, how well do I need to do next semester. Thanks.

You need to find out what the conditions of your matriculation are, which can be different depending on the school. In general, this is outlined in your acceptance packet, but if you are unsure or they aren't explicitly outlined, contact the school in question and find out.

Yup, like spiced said ... check out the terms of your acceptance before you switch on the cruise control. Congrats on being in your situation though!!

Ask your school, I know most schools have minimum grade requirements for pre-requisite coursework.

Sounds like this guy is a tool... I wouldn't stress. I got a C before I was accepted in Organic Chemistry. I certainly feel this pain maself in my MPH program... to finish or not to finish, that is the question

You probably need to pass all your classes. I think the acceptance letters use language that basically says keeps the same academic record that they have had the past 3 years, but I bet you could get straights C's and they wouldn't say anything.

I've been wondering about finishing my master's program as well if I have an acceptance before spring classes start. Have you spoken to Touro about how they feel if you don't finish? I really don't want to go into more debt if I don't have to!

Nope. The degree doesn't contain any of my pre-requisites. I'll have to send them a transcript, but I don't see how they have to have it say that I graduated. My MPH program also changed a bit midstream if I wanted it too. I can add a couple classes to my time, which extends me into medical school. I am really quite curious about what the classes hold and know they will help, but man damn.. it's rough going right now finding the motivation. Perhaps a bit of "it's better to beg forgiveness than it is to ask for permission." They're going to have their hands full getting the class going, I can't imagine them having an awakening a couple weeks in and saying, oh we're sorry, you are still completing an MPH, please leave and come back when you're done.

True, I guess I've just always felt like professional schools want to see you follow things through to completion, but maybe that is just my inner overachiever convincing myself of this?? I can't ever recall exactly being told that...

I know I won't quit my degree. I've never quit anything in my life before it was finished. It also means too much to me, but it makes me feel better to complain about it for a bit.... I wonder if that's because I"m in a research methods class right now.. I figure my attitude will change when it's health policy and the biology of public health..

I know exactly how you feel, I am in a master's program right now too and even though I know I won't quit it just feels good to complain about it. I was accepted three weeks after my program started, and I am pretty sure we are not the only ones. It just sucks because I would much rather relax before medical school starts.

That's my problem.. I"m already relaxing and still doing these classes..oh well, in the end a B won't matter even a little bit and I can have more letters at the end of my name. The person who dies with the most letters behind their name wins, right....?

Finish your masters!!! I had an acceptance in hand last year before finishing my masters...and im glad I stuck it out. Now when people piss me off at work I get to say "i have a masters in forensics alright" and freak them out..like I have some sort of powers...or am privy to secret information...😀

I remember stressing about keeping my grades up. Put some effort into it and finish strong, but don't jump off a bridge if you get a C or a few B's. I highly doubt they would say anything/care. They know you're capable, just make it to the finish line with a degree and pre-reqs in hand! Then the fun really starts in the fall. Good luck!

Yeah... my packet didn't specify a GPA. I'm just guessing that as long as I keep up my grades roughly where they've been the last couple of semesters it should be okay. I'm really hoping to relax a little in the next couple months
