Hey all,

I submitted my AADSAS application one June 2nd, when I did have a job listed for the summer. I decided to change jobs though once another offer came up — I know you can't change your AADSAS application once you submit, so how would I go about indicating a change to the schools?

Thanks!

Call AADSAS and if they can't change it, email the schools directly in the off chance that it matters, I really doubt it though.

I really doubt that this will affect your application in any way. I would just let the schools know that there is a change in your application since your submission. You can also tell them during the interview if they happen to ask you about your work experience.

Thanks a bunch! I'll try calling AADSAS and, worst comes to worst, hopefully I can indicate the change somewhere in my secondaries...

If I were to notify the schools individually, would I just call their admissions representatives?

It would be easier for you and the admission committee if they have a written consent. I would email them with your name, your application ID, and the change that you may have in your application.

For anyone else wondering. I submitted my application and forgot to add planned coursework so I called them and they said they can actually "unsend" your application since it was so early that my DAT scores and GPA and LOE Weren't even in yet. So I went in changed what was needed and resent.

Just curious, though: what exactly does "planned coursework" entail? Were we supposed to list all the classes we were planning on taking next year? What if you're not sure?

At this point you should be sure. With only a year left of school you should definitely know when you'll be taking biochem, physics etc. If you don't know sit down and figure it out so you can get it on your application

Apologies - should have specified. I know when I'll be finishing up my classes for my major (biology), but that only requires 4 units each of the next two semester, so I'd have at least 8 units each semester unaccounted for (I can probably take whatever electives I'd like). Should I go back and just list those two biology courses?

You should still list the others as well. You won't necessarily be held to the electives but they would still like to see that they are on there is my guess. If you have to change one or two next semester I'm sure that would be fine even if it's on your app. I really think it's better to have a whole semester listed than just one out two classes
