You have to send the Alternate acceptance letter back to LECOM

So is my sis.... 🙁 ...she was heartbroken..she really wants to go there LECOM....and.. caverject is shaking his head disaprovingly... 😀

I was wondering if you guys or gals here that are alternates at LECOM would share your science prereq GPA with me? I was curious what type of GPA they're looking for at LECOM since they don't require the PCAT. I'm going to apply there for fall 2006.

my sis has a 3.8 something gpa....but she was missing the economics pre-req...which she took over the spring now...so its done...but we are waiting for a +ve response....from lecom...she visited the place...her interview went great...she's working in a pharmacy too....
what does LECOM look for...who knows? i've read in previous posts that people with perfect gpa's didn't make it...so interview is very important....

i don't know....its pretty wierd how they select students....

but don't worry abt that....as long as u show u are sincere....pharm schools like that...so apply to the schools you want to...don't go by cases because there is no one rule that the schools go by..it really depends on the complete file...some +ve's balance out the -ve's....its a gamble..yeah...but half of my sis's transripts are from an international baccalaureate...so thats probably why it might be confusing for them to check for pre-reqs... 😕 otherwise she def. has what it takes....but gpa isn't the only factor...nor is working in a pharmacy...i got in without any pharm. exp. ...so like i said before... write killer essays...show them that you really want it...and that you want to go to their school 😉 (makes them feel special i guess) In my essays i wrote something like- i respect the abc school of pharmacy's objective in promoting excellence in health care, and I sincerely hope to be part of it. And-This is the kind of education I have labored for, and I am determined to work diligently and be successful in the program etc etc.... 🙂 Good Luck 👍

I know a friend who is at LECOM right now and she got in with a 3.2 last year.

Mabybe they're also looking for people with a lot of experience.
