I had my interview last friday and I am on their alternate list now. My question is what are my chances of getting in? I know a lot of people are probably on their list but what can I do to make myself stand out? waiting stinks 🙁

I had my interview before you on the 13th and I still haven't heard back. How did they notify you that quickly?

I'm also on the alternate list at ICO. I emailed them last week asking when I would hear about the list being ranked and they said that besides an alternate list there is also an accepted waitlist which they will draw from before drawing from the alternate list. This wasn't real encouraging to be and so far everything I have heard is that it was a competitive class and they don't know how many if any students will be selected from the alternate list. If anyone knows if they have had this accepted waitlist in the past and still selected from the alternate list that would be good to know.....thanks

i was on the accepted waitlist.. but i really didnt get the point of it. what's the difference between the accepted waitlist, and the alternate list?

in the letter, it said they gave out too many acceptances... so i was put on the accepted wait list.

anyway, i gave up my seat there, so it doesnt matter - but i was a little confused. anyone else on the accepted wait list?

They start pulling out people first from the "accepted waitlist". If all the people are pulled out from that list, then they pull out people from the alternate list. So the difference between the two is that in the accepted waitlist you are given priority and you are already accepted, if you don't get a seat for 07, you are GAURANTEED a spot for 08.

The committee gets together every 2 weeks to ponder about the interviews that occured in the past 2 wks. You should know by this week what your status is. Also, i think some students are waiting to hear from the Canadian schools and PCO i believe is still conducting interviews. Oh, and are there ranks in the alternate list too?

I was on the accepted wait list and within 4 days was move to the accepted list. It basically just means they want you but have to wait and see if there's actual space for you. If you don't get in for 2007 then you know you have a guaranteed spot for 2008.

has anybody heard recently from ICO?
