Since it's tax season, a question for folks out in private practice working under the salary or independent contractor model. Are you finding that a lot of your deductions are being nullified by the AMT? Can you take more deductions as an independent contractor?

I know these questions are quite general, but any insight would be helpful. Thinking of working in California, trying to figure out for example what would be a better job to pursue: A) $300,000 job as an independent contractor ($35 common unit) but you pay all your own expenses (medical, disability, malpractice, retirement), or B) $200,00 job at Kaiser, all expenses covered for anesthesiologist and family
