well suppose u matched to average community hospital non affiliated with any university
you go for hospitalist for 1-2 years after that t get green card ......then u wanna go into cards:
1- doing research fellowship in cards
2-working as a cardiac hospitalist in a program with cardiology fellowship and trying to volunteer in any research project done by the cardiology department
3- doing non accredited cardiology fellowships like that of heart failure?
or are there any other routes to bridge for the place you did your IM in ?
