Alumni Programs?

I was wondering how important an alumni program is for dental school graduates. The reason I ask is that I want to go to western but am worried that since its such a new school, it may not have the same volume of alumni as many other older schools...will this put me at a huge disadvantage once I graduate as a dentist?

no i haven't been accepted but am applying this coming cycle. Just curious how much alumni programs affect life after dental school.
