For example when comparing bond lengths in a q on AAMC #3, they have the bond lengths drawn for in a diagram. The answer could have been found using the diagram if we compared the bond lengths.

Can we always assume the diagrams are to scale on the mcat unless told otherwise?

No.. always assume diagrams aren't to scale unless told otherwise.

The problem you're talking about happens to be to scale.. but you can also get the answer by considering atomic radii.
