Am I applying too late?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Not at all. They interviewed at my top choice up until the end of April haha. Earlier the better as always, but the DO cycle is much longer than the MD cycle. Goodluck!

Ummm....not at all....people have yielded interviews as late as being complete in November/December....anything after that....is considered very late....Ive been told after december, if you dont have a 3.5+ and 28+ do not bother applying...

You're pretty early, actually. I applied last week, last year and got many of the first interview slots available at the schools I applied to.

I wouldn't say that. I got accepted after applying in February with a 26 MCAT.

It's a longer cycle for DOs. Even as late as Dec isn't too bad.

I'm a reapplicant and I want to apply to both MD and DO schools. I'm going to submit my AACOMAS today, but is it already too late to be a serious applicant? I'm not familiar with the DO application cycle.

Thanks Goro, I was planning on applying by late July/early August most likely. I was thinking of not applying because I thought that would be too late but I guess it isn't!

Is it better to raise gpa for summer classes and fall quarter then apply or apply now or in july/august?
Current cgpa is 3.1 and sgpa 3.25, need to take MCAT in august.
Chances for Touro-CA?

Any updates to your grades can be added to your app at any time! If you get the updated transcript in, it will update at every school that you applied to automatically. I'd say get your app in with your future coursework in there and do it as soon as you can.

That will vary from school to school. Just because you're late doesn't mean that you'll need higher stats.

Some schools like high MCATs (like TUCOM-CA, my school, and CCOM) while other like high GPAs. In general, the newest schools tend to be more forgiving of these parameters.

Goro- What gpa and mcat score are you talking if someone apply late in december with ok EC's and ok research?
