Am I being crazy in regards to this?

Am currently in community college, switched my major to English because taking the science prerequisites at a university looks better.

Some of you have already read where I mentioned how I used to do awful in school, but turned it around. I have a C and a D that I plan on retaking--neither of them being in science or math. My reasoning:

-If I replace these with A's and continue doing A level work like I have been in my classes, my GPA will be up to a 3.7 by the time I transfer to a four-year.

-Transfer scholarships can be competitive, and I need the tuition money.

My science GPA is low and that won't change until I bring it up after transferring, but that won't matter in order to get into the four-year--that's what I need to worry about right now.

You're not being crazy. You are actually making a lot of sense. You need to do whatever it takes to transfer to a four year school with a good GPA. Best thing you can do is major in something you like, because regardless of how tough it is you will probably do better.

I do not see it as a drawback, necessarily, because I like English (but not enough for a career in it), and I'm taking mostly basic core classes that I'd be required to take anywhere else.

The sooner my GPA is up, the sooner I can transfer and begin a major in something science related that I'm passionate enough about to turn into a career.

I was going to read your post and give a serious reply, but instead I'm just going to say that your avatar is awesome.

Thanks. I use it because I once had a girlfriend tell me I looked kind of like a Siberian Husky in real life (I guess it was a compliment?)
