Hey everyone,
So it's possible that I might be pursuing a masters before applying for Dental School. I'm really into anatomy and cell biology and have just found the perfect program-- it's a Clinical Anatomy + Cell biology masters. Here's the catch, it's course based. I'm kind of tired of research (have been involved in it since the summer after Grade 12) and my primary reason for a masters is to show that I can handle my science courses. Do you guys think it's crazy/ a waste of time and money to do a course based masters and not a thesis based (for PHD purposes?)

thanks

Isn't a Masters 2+ years?

The program I'm talking about is under 2 years in length. I'm entertaining the idea of a masters because of the fact that my sgpa is on the lower end of the spectrum (by the time I finish undergrad it should be around 3.2).

In that case you're not crazy....haha.

I think it's a great idea to boost your gpa through that masters program. And I think that's good that you're interested in those subjects of study too. Get a 4.0 in that program!!!:luck:

Hahah awesomeness= DrEaglemike... I guess my my main concern was the idea that the masters is a COURSE BASED rather than a Thesis based.... what are you guyz thoughts on this? .. On one hand I really don't want to do more research, on the other hand.. I want to prevent the day where if I don't get into dents that I've wasted two years and can't get into a pHD due to the non thesis aspect of the masters...

hey TAD, where is this program? i've been thinking of doing a master's too, so i've been looking around. thanks!

Hey!
It's in Canada... at the University of Western Ontario. Definitely check it out, it sounds wicked!
