I recently transferred schools, and I just got my fall class schedule the other day:

Orgo 1
Orgo 1 lab
Calc 2
Microbio
Microbio lab (with its own lecture component)
Bio 1 lab (with its own lecture component)

Total credits = 14

I know it isn't many credits, but three labs is just going to be ridiculous. In case you were wondering, I have to take only the Bio 1 lab since I already took Bio 1 lecture at my other school.

I'm hesitant to drop anything because I don't want to go below the minumum credits allowed to still be considered a full time student. The only thing that I could get rid of is the Bio 1 lab since it's only 1 credit. So should I drop it like it's hot or what? :scared:

that so crazy, how are you even allowed outside?

It's only 14 hours. You could probably throw a Sociology in there too if you wanted.

I think you'll be fine.

You think so? The only thing that worries me is that at my other school labs were integrated, and they weren't very demanding. I think I'm overestimating the difficulty of seperate lab courses.

I've had separate and integrated. It's always been about the same.

It may be better to hold off on adding any extra classes until you see what the new place is like in terms of difficulty. Most of the Gen Ed. classes at my undergrad school were jokes--2 hours the night before a test and you were good.

I would NOT do it. But then again, I struggled with orgo, calc 2 (despite loving calc 1) and hate micro.

Now if it were biochem (instead of orgo), physiology (instead of micro) and calc 1 instead of calc 2 I would have said you'd be fine and could throw a soc class on top.

To each his own.

calc 2 is much harder than calc 1.

It doesn't look to bad. You will have hours spent each week doing lab reports though. Microbiology is easy too. You might want to add like intro to blah blah blah for an extra 3 credits.

That doesn't even look like that hard of a schedule.

Biology lab is almost as hard as coloring in the lines.

Seems fine, organic and calc 2 will be your difficult classes. Microbiology and the biology labs will mostly just be time sinks. I think 3 labs a semester will tire you out, but if you can spread out the labs and give yourself a decent break you can easily take another class.

I misread earlier... I thought it said molecular biology (not micro). Micro is a joke. You'll be fine.

Yes, get the **** out of here and into a padded room STAT. What school admits psychos... Boston, MA ... must be Boston U as they did admit that Craigslist killer guy into their med school. haha :meanie:

Hey, come on now, some of us have trouble with those lines...
