The first time I ran through Organic in Destroyer ... Well, I got destroyed. Hahaha. It's okay! I think in Organic, if you REALLY understand Chad's videos well, and are VERY familiar with that 11-page PDF on his videos, you're golden! On Bootcamp, I was getting 16's and 18's in Organic mostly (I think I broke 20 in 2 of the tests? And even then, they were low). On the real DAT, I got a 25! And I was TERRIBLE at organic in undergrad!
One thing I would say, is watch Chad's organic videos at 2x's speed, and watch them all in 1 week. This way, you won't have time to forget the baseline information, and you'll be able to make better connections. One thing I did that was TORTURE, but I'm SO glad I did: I printed out the 11-page reactions page, and I literally went through ALL the reactions videos in 1 night at 2.5x speed, and took notes on that paper. It's something like 10 videos, and I BELIEVE it took me 2-3 hours to complete it, taking notes on the PDF. Afterwards, I just went over those notes over and over again. This is super helpful to see the nuances between all the reactions (for example, it's REALLY good to know the difference between a Wolff-Kischner/Clemmenson Reduction vs. Reduction of an Amide with LiALH4).
Also, pay a LOT of attention to the EAS reaction video, and withdrawing/donating groups. And really pay close attention to the part in the EAS video where Chad talks about how phenol creates a slightly positive charge on 3 carbons on the phenol ring, and how withdrawing groups will further destabalize that ring, creating a stronger base. I felt like understanding that SINGLE concept unlocked a lot of previously closed doors with Organic, and made MANY of the videos make so much more sense.
