beautiful. I'm not a big fan of math.
something tells me that your interest lies in neurosci.
I thought that I was done with math until last semester when I took cell neurophys... needed diff eq, prob, and lin al. If you like cell neurosci (rather than systemic neuroanatomy or behavioral neurosci) then I think you should take another semester of cal and maybe even diff eq.

I dont think my school offers cell neurophys so I don't think it matters for me. interesting to hear that that high level of math would be required for a neuro class though. My college doesn't have many neuro specific classes in general
my school only has 1 neuroscience course that requires advanced math, and it's a graduate level neurophys course.I dont think my school offers cell neurophys so I don't think it matters for me. interesting to hear that that high level of math would be required for a neuro class though. I elected not to take that one 🙂

as would I. I gotta say, I'm suprised neuroscience classes place that much emphasis on math. I can see why there might be math involved, but I guess I'm more interested in the physiological function of the nervous system than the number grinding. Hopefully neuro won't be that math intensive in med school.
as far as I know, the physiology of neurons isn't covered much. not the advanced part, anyway. my BS is in neuroscience and the most I know about neurophys are the concentrations of ions on either side of the membrane, the Goldman-Katz equation, threshold, resting membrane potential, etc.as would I.
