I have a terrible GPA and I need near perfect grades from now to have an acceptable science GPA. I have only gotten two As in science classes so I don't know if I'm capable of outscoring other smart premeds. What do I do? Should I look at other career options?

Agree with above. Define "terrible GPA". I had a 3.1 cGPA and a 2.95 sGPA halfway through. I got my **** together and ended out with a 3.68 cGPA and a 3.47 sGPA. Currently in my top med school choice. Don't give up hope OP!

Define "terrible GPA". And what's your MCAT situation?

I have around 3 science but I just got a C in OChem (goung to ask for a bump to a C+) which is depressing and discouraging me for next quarter. I haven't taken many science classes so I will be more than okay if I rock the next two years. . IF.

Not thinking about MCAT until I get my GPA up. I tend to do as well on tests like that so I will take a practice one after OChem and some content review.

It's possible to raise your GPA if you buckle down, but classes won't be getting easier, so unless you do raise your grades, it may be worthwhile to consider other options.

it's always good to have backup plans.

Your school must have a learning or education center. Go seek them out for help with your learning styles and test taking skills.

Without a change to your present paradigm, your success will be minimal. Work out why you are receiving low grades, that's the first thing that needs to change.

I'm so discouraged. Maybe I shouldn't be in OChem right now.

No use - OP is convinced he's a genius (quoting him: all the doctors I met tells me "I wish my son/daughter was smart enough to get into your school.")Too full of himself, not very smart, refuses to admit it, talks about laziness as if that was a valid excuse.

So yes... I think you're kind of hopeless...
