Am I making the right decision?

Hi guys,

I just recently got into Touro and just looking at the numbers again, I really started freaking out. How manageable is the debt especially if I'm paying for everything on my own, no help from parents? I just feel so overwhelmed taking out so much in loans. Please don't just say "don't do it for the money, do it for the passion", I love the field but I also don’t want to put in all the work and not be able to enjoy my life. Thank you guys.

At least you recognize the debt load. If you want to become a dentist, start developing a financial game plan now. Talk to dentists and find great mentors. Figure out how you're going to make things work out. Figure out how you are going to make as much money as you can while also providing excellent care. You can forge your future to a large extent. Differentiate yourself from the pack!
