I have a 36 mcat and 3.8 gpa. I applied to 20 schools, but up until now, I only received one med school interview invite. I saw other people on the forum already got two or three interview invites. I am getting anxious. Am I paranoid?

Seriously relax. You are getting interviews before a ton of other people and have stats above the average for most applicants.

Yes, be patient. The medical school process is quite difficult and you should not get ahead of your self. Just relax for now, it is pretty early for interviews anyway.

No you're not paranoid. But just realize that even with those stats, you aren't entitled to anything.

Yes. Keep in mind some schools haven't started issuing invites yet.

Relax. Congrats on your invite! Realize that it's still somewhat early in the cycle. Your stats are good....give it at least another month before you start worrying.

Haha don't worry, it's only natural. I have good stats too and only have 1 invite so far. When I see somebody with 2 I'm like OMG I'M SCREWED.

Gotta love being neurotic 🙂

I was freaking out today after only waiting 6 days after secondaries, and no interviews. I gotta work on my patience.

You're not alone, but also my stats aren't as good.

^ This.

Come back if you haven't any interviews by October 15. Oh wait, you already have one? You'll be fine. This is a marathon, not a sprint. Some interview invites may not reach you until December.

You are applying for classes that begin a year from now so there is plenty of time. Enjoy yourself while you can and try to earn some cash to help with all the interview expenses you are going to incur.

+1. Besides, i'm sure there are some people out there that haven't even submitted their apps yet and will end up getting accepted...
