I did test 1-5 on math destroyer 2-3 times and at this point I feel like I understood most of the concepts. Is there any point of redoing them if I almost have all of the problem memorized? my DAT is next tuesday and I still have to hit reading and a bit of PAT. I also have NOT taken any practice tests.

Stop drop and roll. No more QR, it's not even important asides from buffering your AA. RC is more important and PAT is a whole section by itself.

I'd say you should take at least 3 practice tests between now and tomorrow. Good luck!

LOL thanks.

I am planning on taking 3 top score tests like 5 days before the actual test. Is that sufficient you think?

Oh hello...NEXT Tuesday meant a week+ from now, totally didn't comprehend that right. Shoot, I think this might affect my RC score...probably going to get those inference questions wrong now.

Lol if you have a week+, take as much practice as you can. Honestly, until I get that predicted +1 or +2 points on my real DAT compared to topscore, I will firmly believe that topscore is crap. So if you have leftover subject tests, or if you even want to purchase stuff you haven't used yet, go for it. Topscore alone personally makes me feel uncomfortable, so I went and bought more stuff with the backup $360 that I was planning on saving for a possible retake. And now, all of achiever but its PAT section is making me regret it.

Can someone who did take the DAT respond to this? I feel like nothing I say makes sense anymore.

I heard the real test is easier than topscore (at least for the sciences). I feel that the practice tests don't really predict what you will get on the real DAT. I think the purpose of practice tests is to make you feel comfortable with the "format" of the test.

Asides from time limits, topscore does a poor job imitating the real thing's format, but whatever it's cheap and "proven" to work.

I really hope you are right about it being easier, but -hey- even if you aren't, I'll be your guinea pig this Thursday, so no worries.

Seeing your practice scores. I am sure you'll get a bangin' score
Good luck to us.

In what way topscore's format is different than the real thing? LOL should I buy other practice tests? I heard achiever is even worse.

It uses microsoft office. Pretty sure the real DAT doesn't.

Achiever looks pretty much exactly like what you'll see on the screen when you take the real one. The actual problems though? Feels like a science olympiad competition.

But still...I'd say buy achiever, even just for the PAT. Reason I got a 28 on PAT for topscore...I got a 20 on PAT for achiever. Everything else besides QR is still impossible though.

LOL "olympiad competition"

Yeah, I am gonna save up my money to buy more important stuff

I would just worry about timing! I got A's in all my math classes (trig, cal I, cal II, precal) but I got a 18 on the real dat. I did the destroyer twice but time was my worst enemy.

Yeah. That's what I am worried about. It takes me forever to do math destroyer because the numbers and questions are crazy.

LOL I got A's in those courses too but I suck at word problems, etc.
