As some of you may know, OC is my weakest science section.
I'm going through Destroyer right now, and if I get lucky.... I can get 50% correct for every 30 problems I do. However, I just took the DAT sample OC section on the ADA website and did rather well (scored a 29). I've read over and over again on this forum about how the ADA test is easier than the real DAT. But my question is...... HOW MUCH easier? I'm getting killed by Destroyer and have to make educated guesses on the majority..... but at the same time, I got a 29/30 on the ADA OC Sample. I don't know if I'm ready for the test in 7 days or not. I had a total of 2 weeks to study for all subjects... and I have 1 week left to study (I haven't studied biology or math yet). :scared: I feel totally unprepared.... I've literally went to the prometric rescheduling site a few time, put my credit card number in... but just always had second thoughts to hit submit. Again, I've been literally studying all day for the last week.....I just take breaks to eat and any other survival musts. Another thing to note is that I suck at NMR/Mass spectrum stuff, none of which were on the ADA sample.

Any feedback would be most appreciated! Thanks!! 🙂

A 29 seems really good man. I heard it was easier too, but not on a gigantic scale like your saying haha. You should prob be able to at least break a 20. Did you finish Destroyer Organic?

Thanks. The thing is, I didn't memorize all the reactions yet, and the ADA Sample test must have had reactions that I luckily already knew. I'm still in the middle of doing Destroyer questions... It takes me a whole day and a half just to get through Destroyer topic. LOL. It's a time consuming process.. I'm on question #66 out of 232 questions. I already studied and reviewed the solutions for the first 65 questions. I'm starting to wonder if OC Destroyer is using too much of my time... since it just seems sooo........ extraordinarily hard? 😀

What do you think about OC destroyer?

did you check out Chad's video? if not, you def should, and i just took DAT and there were rather a lot of IR and NMR questions.

I really like Destroyer Organic. I get most of them correct, but have a really strong organic background. I am now going through it a second time and it's much more manageable, in fact, I am going through it right now lol. At first I was getting probably around 60-70% right, but making some silly mistakes also. All in all, I never heard a bad thing about the destroyer chemistries- if you know those you should be golden a few people have said.

I did go through Chad's videos, but his OC videos seem to be focused on people who already have a stronger OC background. I haven't taken OC II yet and I took OC I about 2 years ago, so it's taking me longer to comprehend.
Thanks for the heads about about IR and NMR......... looks like I need to master that 🙂

Haha yea, I've read that too. You should have no problem with the OC section of the DAT then. If you haven't taken the ADA OC Sample yet, take it and you will see how EASY it is compared to Destroyer.... I can't do Destroyer problems without looking at my notes. Even still, some questions I still can't answer with my notes I took from Chad's videos.

As soon as I wrote that I was getting most of them correct in destroyer, I got a line full of them wrong lol.. I was doing good in the beginning tho.. your right some of it's hard but I think it will be well worth it in the end :meanie:
