Am I running late...?

Just got my AMCAS verified today (although I submitted it on 6/10, my letters and transcript were all received on 6/24).

I understand that AMCAS opened late and is being extra slow this year, but I'm pretty paranoid about being considered a late applicant (I submitted my secondaries around late August~early September last year and that didn't end up well at all).

Was hoping to finish all my secondaries before the end of July, but at least I've pre-written most of my essays and will be sending them out as soon as I receive the applications.

Would I still be considered an early applicant this year, or am I already running behind in the interview race... Need some help here!

youre still relatively early, just get those secondaries in asap and youre in good shape

im in a similar boat, got verified the 26th, already have 15 of 19 secondaries done, and I think im pretty early

Thanks. I'm assuming you just got a wave of secondaries in as soon as your primary got verified. Hopefully I'll get over with all of mine in the next week or so.

Remember that the AAMC sent out that announcement on 6/26 or 6/27 saying that 15,000 people had submitted. Historically about 45,000 people will submit applications.

A certain portion of that initial 15,000 will still be waiting on letters, MCAT, etc. So if you're complete now you're almost certainly in the first third. Doesn't seem late to me.

....of course, I also need to believe this for my own comfort because I submitted 6/27, lol.

I got verified on friday, so i didnt get the majority of the secondaries until monday cause of business days and all, but yea I've received all but two now

most should come today or tomorrow for you (most likely tomorrow) then trickle in thereafter
