I'm gonna submit my application to aadsas in about 2 weeks, but i'll take the DAT at the end of july. would i be still considered an early applicant, or not because i'll take the dat in late july?

thanks for your input

As long as your application package looks good (gpa, sci gpa, personal statement, etc.) you should send it as soon as possible. I know of a lot of people that received interviews without their DAT scores submitted. There is a big rush of applicants in July and August, so it's better to beat that rush and at least give the adcoms a glimpse at your app.

my gpa is around 3.1, so not that good, but i have a whole bunch of volunteer, research experience, and studied abroad.

you're not in the first batch if that's your question, no use worrying over something you can't control. you'll be fine 😉

I'd send it. Your 3.1 is not outstanding but if you have other aspects of your life that set you apart then they will be more valuable and more apparent earlier in the application cycle.

so when i apply late june and send my dat scores in late july, will i be considered as someone who applied in late june or in late july ? (since my application gets complete in late july)

Application will be complete in late July, but the adcoms still look at applications even if the DAT scores are not in yet.

you'll submit your aadsas in june and you'll take your dat in july. it doesn't seem like you can bump either one up any earlier so what is the point in worrying?
