I'm about to finish my general core classes at my University after this semester and will be finishing with a 3.5 GPA cumulative. I haven't done my Pre-Reqs or Calculus yet, and I graduate in 2016.
My classes for next semester:
Bio 106
Chem 105
Calc 171
Astronomy 450 (Elective)

I also plan on taking summer classes in order to graduate in Spring 2016.
What I want to know is, If I do better in my science classes, will i still have a chance to be competitive?

Absolutely! What's your total credit hour count right now? I imagine you are about to finish up your sophomore status and move into junior. If you calculate your GPA with your current number of credit hours you will probably find there are many more hours still ahead. I'd say it's very possible to get into the competitive 3.7 range if you work hard.

Many people get into medical school with a 3.6 and a decent MCAT score every year. Just be sure to have both, and some decent EC's/LORs.

Yup, you're still competitive.
