Hi. It might be a obvious question, but please confirm this. My application was initially mailed on 6/27, and it was mailed again on 8/05 (I think because I updated my local address). Am I still in the first batch? Thank you very much.

School will not review your application until they recieve everything.

So even though your initial mailing date was 6/27, and you sent extra information afterwards

(e.g. LORs, DAT score, anything that has to be mailed), your completion date will be considered as the latter one.

This is because your application will not be considered as completed.

Mailing date is not very important. The completion date is important.

Are you sure that's right? I don't think your address is something that will hold up your application. They're not sitting there waiting for updates to your biographic information.

For the biographic info I am not sure, I was just talking about the big ones such as LORs, DAT scores, and so on

The OP said he updated his address. I highly doubt that would hold up his application.

If it was complete by 6/27, then you're good. If it wasn't, and you added something before 8/5, then you're not in the previous batch.

If it was mailed out simply because you changed your address the week preceding 8/5, how on EARTH would dental schools know that? And even then, why would they care?

People gotta be less paranoid. 😳
