I just calculated my final SMP GPA and I got a ~3.4 I've pretty much accepted that I likely won't get into MD, but would like to know if I have also ruined my chances at DO...

uGPA: 3.2/3.1 (science)
SMP GPA: 3.4
MCAT: 510+
clinical hours (work+shadowing): 200+
non-clinical volunteer: ~100
DO letter+shadowing

You’re fine. Honestly probably didn’t need the SMP with that mcat score.

Thanks for the reassurance guys 🙂

Also I should note that my home state is California so I'm not very confident

am also from California. Ended up with IIs at 1/3rd of the schools I applied to. Was asked exactly 0 times about my gpa on interviews.

You’ll be fine. Don’t worry.

You coulda gone DO without an SMP...
Was the SMP a shot to go MD route?

Anyways, DO you're good anywhere.

Sadly no, I only applied to only DO schools + GT last year and didn't get in
Wild - someone with a 512 didn't get an acceptance.

Anyways, may I ask...
Why did you go to Georgetown for the SMP? Anywhere else and that Masters GPA would be a 3.8+.
SMP's are really meant to be 3.8-4.0 to show med schools you are ready for med school...

Regardless,
I think if you apply BROADLY (since you are re-app) you'll get in somewhere.
I can't imagine you'll go another round with no love.
Make sure your interview skills aren't holding you back.

G'luck.
