Am I supposed to explain why i dropped most of my classes in one semester?

Hi there! I am pretty new to this and would like to apply to dental school next may. I know it's quite a long time from now, but I have one question. I switched from nursing major to biology last fall. I went to nursing school in spring 2005 and it was only 1 month into school that I'd decided to quit it. I dreaded going to class everyday, and so I decided to drop all of my nursing classes and only kept pathyphysiology b/c I couldn't afford to withdraw from the school or else I have to pay my loans back right away. Therefore, my question is, do I have to report this on the application? I know you're supposed to send in all transcript from all the school you've attended and so.. I'm not sure what I should do. Thanks

There is really no way to aviod something on your transcript. The general tone many others here seem to be expressing is to not bring it up unless they bring it up.

Just be able to explain why you made the change. Be able to tell them why nursing turned out to not be for you and try to make that experience seem as positive as you can. Then be ready to explain why dentistry will work out better for you.

Shouldn't be too big of a problem. People change their minds all the time.

Did you get a W for those classes? Or did you drop the courses soon enough to not have them show up on your transcript at all?

I dropped it early, but i think at the nursing school i attended only gave W, and so pretty much I got 3 Ws and a pathophys grade.
