Medical Am I too old to go to pursue my dream of medical school?

I have been admitted to a couple of universities to start my premed degree (transfer) and I will be 36 years old. Is that too late to pursue this career in medicine? I am very passionate about pursuing this dream before my young kids start college.

Please advise.

My school's oldest matriculant was 53. In fact, he's still in private practice!
