Hi all!
I’ve been working in my current lab a little over a year now and I (as part of my lab) was asked today to help write a review article because our lab was asked by the journal to write one! It seems like a decent impact journal (IF= ~3.6) but here’s the question I have. I just got word of this today and I submit my MD application on the 5th of June so we will have nothing done yet essentially. Should I just put this under research and call it an ongoing project instead of its own box under pubs. That seems like the best idea but please let me know what you think!

Yes, put that you're preparing a manuscript under your research description not under pubs. If it does end up getting accepted, you can update schools at a later date.
