I currently practice in Houston in the medical center but I would very much like to practice in the ambulatory setting but I know these opportunities are hard to come by.

I know that the Houston job market is VERY tight though I have not been reaching out to different groups, but I want to hear from someone who works at an ambulatory surgery center and find out how they came across their position. CRNAs appear to have no problems finding positions in surgery centers and come and go as they please, however the situation is the complete opposite for MDs looking for jobs.

Thanks

If you don't mind me asking, how difficult is it to get a job at the texas medical center as an MD Anethesiologist? I'm looking to move to Houston due to the wife and any MD anesthesiology job would suit me just fine. I do know that the job market for Houston is tough, however I did see a posting for an ambulatory job on gasworks. Check that out

For someone who started a thread about how they dislike being disrespected by OR nurses, do not ever say MD Anesthesiologist. It's totally redundant and a pejorative pseudonym that nurses use to pretend they too are anesthesiologists of a different variety.
