Has anyone else had problems printing letter of rec forms or transcript request forms as the site wants to download a .cfm file instead of executing it so you never get the files you need? Cause I cant seem to get these files

hmm. I didn't have that problem with the letter of rec forms or the transcript request forms, but I did have that problem when I tried to print my application in pdf form.

I was using an old version of Firefox, and the problems were fixed when I switched to IE. Hopefully that will work for you?

Try a difference browser. Usually the newest Firefox or Chrome versions are not supported.

i am having the same exact problem. not really sure what to do. im not using a new browser or anything since they wont even let you go into your application with the newest browser

try renaming the file with .pdf instead of .cfm; i'm not much of a windows user but i think simply changing the file extension is all it takes on any platform. despite the file extension name, these are actually pdf files.

Not sure what John7 is confused about, but +1 on this advice.

Firefox 4 on Mac downloads the cfm for some reason (I don't know why-- I think I have the pdf settings correct but what do I know) and I changed the file extension to pdf and it opened fine

On a side note, I really wish firefox would figure out pdf for mac. Mac have native pdf support with preview and I don't want silly adobe bloatware. FF 4 broke support for the great PDF Plugin for Firefox addon that allowed people to view PDF's inline with firefox using preview.

Funny, renaming the .cfms never worked for me. Configuring FF to open the PDFs directly in <insert favorite PDF viewer here> did work (as opposed to having FF save the file to disk).

I just downloaded it as a .cfm file and renamed the file to end in .pdf.
Worked fine for me, opened in Preview and everything 👍

I too have downloaded them as .cfm and renamed as .pdf and it worked fine for me as well. I am also using a Mac.
