Hello fellow re-applicants,

My amcas question is, do we have to resubmit an official transcript. I see that all of my info has been saved from last years application, which leads me to believe that I don't need to resend my OT, considering I have not taken any more classes.

My timeline question is semi-convoluted - I took my MCAT late 2007, applied early 2008, will re-apply early this year and will also apply to SMPs. On the contingency that I don't get into a med school this year, but do get into an SMP for 2010, my question involves the expiration of my MCAT scores. Assuming I start an SMP in 2010, I would also be applying to med school the summer of 2010, but my MCAT scores would be on its 4th year... does that mean that I would have to retake the MCAT to reapply, or would being in an SMP negate the 4 year old MCAT score?

Thank you for any help you can provide!

I took the MCAT in August 07. I just asked the admissions director at UC Davis if that test would be ok for applying in 2010. He said it would as long as my application was complete before August.

Also, check out the MSAR - it says what the latest MCAT accepted is for each school.

You have to resubmit official transcripts even if they have not changed.
