Hello! I accidentally started an application on the AMCAS for 2018 but don't intend on submitting the application. Should I be concerned?

If you are a masochist, fill the entire thing out for experience. It will save for next year and you can copy and paste into next years app. to save time.

JUST DON'T HIT SUBMIT if it's still an option.

Thank you! It's definitely still an option to not hit submit. I just accidentally started an application without wanting to submit it. I was just worried that it would go into the records and medical schools would see it as an incomplete application in the future.

I did the same thing in 2016-2017 cycle. Started app but never submitted.

If you do fill it out for fun, just bookmark the page. It will be hard to find the log in on AAMC's website next year if you don't bookmark it.

Then when next year's cycle opens, you will start a new 2018-2019 app. You can copy and paste from your 2017-2018 app to the 2018-2019 app.
