Amcas application submission

Hey all,

If I plan to submit my application on the very first day that it opens in order to get verified as soon as possible, doesn't that mean that I wont be able to put in my Spring quarter grades? Or do we just make real time updates to the verified application, and the schools will be able to evaluate us with the spring quarter gpa as well?
No, you can't update the AMCAS after you submit it. But are you sure you won't have your spring semester grades? The AMCAS doesn't open for submissions until the beginning of June, and I haven't heard of any colleges that let spring semester grading slip into June.

Yes.

That doesn't happen with AMCAS. But AACOMAS will update your GPAs if you send them a new transcript after initial verification.

OP is probably on a quarter system rather than a semester system.

Oh, I missed that.

OP, if your college uses the National Student Clearinghouse for releasing transcripts, you have the option of submitting a transcript request ahead of time and putting it on hold until all your grades for the term are posted. That can save you two or three days over submitting the request after grades are posted.
