Hello all...help please:
I'm getting ready to submit my AMCAS but uneasy about classification of all my PA courses (M.S. Physician Assistant 2000): there is no "medicine" discipline (e.g. biology, chemistry etc.) so I listed everything in my PA curriculum as "health sciences", which I don't like, but where else should these courses fit? It seems like such an oversimplification of what was some pretty hefty stuff.
So, any suggestions? 9 semester hours of pharmacology; 6 hours gross human anatomy with lab; 3 hours human physiology; 9 hours of medical psychology; 16 hours clinical medicine; etc. (and much much more, just wanted to give you an idea).
Also, for my clinical year I listed all the rotations as "lab" since the other options were "lecture" or "combined lecture/lab". Does this make sense? e.g. OB-GYN 4 wks, Internal Medicine 8 wks, Surgery 4 wks, etc., etc.
Thanks very much for your insight.
Lisa

OK, thanks, but what about this: classify my Anatomy & Physiology courses under biology (as I did in undergrad A&P?) Or leave it as Health Sciences? I don't think it will change my science GPA much.

The directions pretty specifically say that's Health Sciences. Are you just looking for someone to tell you to ignore the directions? Sure, you have my permission.

The lab thing sounds reasonable.
