What is everyone doing with dating for a continual activity?
Like in secondary experience
Date to date
Do you just put the second date as today/this month and year?
Thanks.

I believe AMCAS says to put the expected end date if you know it. I put my graduation date for things through school, and just guessed for other stuff.

Hope that helps! 🙂

this is for hobby..what if it never ends!

until expected start date for medical school (i.e., 08/2005)

ALL hobbies will end once med school begins!!

Oooh. Well, umm, I, umm, don't know. Maybe you could put until next fall!
No time for hobbies in med school, right? 🙂

I would probably do something like that. That way you can clarify in your interviews!

i feel like doing what PT says..should i serously use my date of entering medical school and try to joke like that if it comes up :scared:

hah! am i the only one who read this as "i've been dating throughout college, so maybe i can list that as an activity on amcas"?

well, from the title at least that's how i read it..

i'd just say something like "on-going" or "continuous" or some thing to that effect.

put in projected date of completion...I just wrote down fall of the year I (hopefully) start med school as an end date for activities I didn't know when I was going to finish

Damn, that's exactly how I read it. 😉

Now I can't make a smarmy joke.

no, that's what I thought too

anyways, just say 2002-present for an activity you're still doing

I also read that other possible meaning of this title and thought PetrolGirl was doing some trolling, but fortunately that is not the case.

You can't type in present into the box AMCAS provides.
