I worked in the ER helping to identify patients that were eligible for clinical studies. Should I go into detail and specifically talk about the purpose of each study? They give you about 1300 characters for an explanation, but I'm not sure if they just want a brief overview and any specifics would be talked about in an interview.

I would talk about what you did. Your job and your role...

Save the specifics of the studies for your interviews.

BTW. Just because you get 1300 characters to use doesn't mean the adcom wants to read 1300 characters.

Yeah, that's what I thought because I figured it might cut down on things to talk about on an interview.

just do an overview on the purpose of the study, it's implications, and what you did exactly.

the details can bore someone who doesn't know what you're talking about. i'd wait till interview to talk more in depth.
