I have been trying to register for AMCAS but it is no letting me. I have explored how to do this on SDN. I have tried the User Agent thing but it is not letting me. I have also tried the "about:config" approach somebody recommended. I am able to get to the login screen but when I click "Register here" I get: "Unsupported Browswer Settings: You must have Javascript enabled." The thing though is that it is enabled. Advice would be much appreciated.

I just used IE for AMCAS related stuff.

Redownload firefox 3.0 and upgrade after application is finished, that's what I did

Mine app is finished, I was justing posting for the op. I didn't feel like using a browser a couple years outdated when at the time of the application service opened firefox3.0 was current and is supported. I was just responding to the post to show that other browsers are available and supported than ie.

Just reread the thread and relized that by not supported I meant by ie, not amcas. Ie hasn't been updated for macs for a couple of years I think. While firefox 3.0 was the latest edition back in may when the service opened. Sorry for the confusion.

google chrome was pretty overrated

Thanks for your suggestions. Unfortunately they aren't working. I have tried Firefox 3.0 and internet explorer 7 and 6. I am beginning to think it might be my security software (Norton 360). Don't know, pretty frustrating/annoying.

Just an idea: it might have something to do with the browser being unsupported (I had a similar problem earlier in the year when I tried to use Firefox 3.5 to do my AMCAS app, though I think there was a different error message). I suggest trying the User Agent Switcher addon and changing the User Agent to something like IE 7.0 (that's what I ended up using). If that doesn't work I'm out of ideas, and you'll probably just have to use another computer.

You can find the User Agent Switcher here https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/59/
