Amcas Id?

Hey everyone
I was asked to list AMCAS ID on many of my secondaries. I was wondering if that is the same as the AAMC ID listed on our AMCAS app. because I can't seem to find any place where it actually says AMCAS ID.

it's an eight digit id number at the top of your amcas welcome page. Hope that helps.

Anybody memorized their number yet from writing it on your secondaries and online applications?

Hey Heb, how are you? I remember the first five digits. I will have it memorized very soon. I remember my credit card number, security code and expiration date from buying so much stuff online (thanks Supra)....AAMC ID is next.

I had mine memorized by the first week in July. I was joking with the admissions office of Albany that I get my social and my AMCAS id's mixed up writting them on everything. They laughed and told me as much as I was joking that a lot of people do have some trouble memorizing their numbers. I can see that.

I have both my SSN and AAMC ID memorized....it came in handy when I tried to call 5 schools at a time to inquire about my app status. Some asked for SSN, some asked for AAMC ID...

That's nothing. A friend of mine has his SSN and AMCAS ID numbers share the same first 5 letters. Talk about easy to mix up.
