I received an email today from my pre-health advisor that contained a forward from Pam Cranston, Vice President of Applicant Services AMCAS...

"I am happy to announce that applicants to the 2003 entering class may
now *certify and submit* their AMCAS applications. We expect to start
verifying completed applications tomorrow and to begin loading April
MCAT scores into the AMCAS database next week sometime. Finally, we
hope to begin transmitting verified applications to the entering class
of 2003 to participating schools in early July.

Remember that - for 2003 - once an applicant certifies and submits
his/her application, only the name, contact information and ID#s may be
changed (and then re-certified and re-submitted). And, of course, s/he
may make additional medical school designations prior to their
deadlines. Any other academic changes can be requested via the embedded
Academic Change Request application subsystem.

Applicant questions or comments should be directed to [email protected] or
to 202/828-0600.
Thank you for your patience. We look forward to a good year!"

I already submitted, so it's true! Good luck to everyone!!!

darn it 😛 lets not add on the pressure. this just makes it even more obvious that i am no where near ready to submit. well...let me get back to statement writing before i get to distracted. 🙄

don't worry about getting it in the 1st day. it'll probably be all jammed up anyway.

you have to turn in your best application as soon as you can. that's all

Well, even though I'm still being considered at 2 schools this cycle, I submitted my new application for 2003 just now, just in case. Good luck everybody! 🙂

Doctora, that is an AWESOME site you have! Do you have an update for 2003?

If we submit new application and end up getting in off the waitlist can we get a refund for the AMCAS Application? What about for registering for August MCAT?

What about for registering for August MCAT?•••••Just designate one school so your application gets processed. In a few weeks you can designate more schools if you don't get accepted. I don't think they give refunds. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Frown]" src="frown.gif" />

That website is kinda wierd... they tell me I am "very competitive" at Univeristy of Washington... but not so much a Northwestern. That doesn't make much sense... oh well... thanks 🙂
