My application to AMCAS has just been placed on hold due to their request for a transcript that was "missing". However, I have never attended this institution that AMCAS is requesting the transcript for.
In high school, I have attended John's Hopkins for Talented Youth (CTY) in order to take AP Chinese. When I attended my undergraduate, my official transcript listed "John's Hopkins" as one of my previous educational experiences.
When it came to entering my course work for AMCAS, I did not include my transcript from John's Hopkins CTY because they are not an accredited post secondary institution (they are only accredited K-12). My AP Chinese credit was also not accepted by my undergrad institution, and it is absent from all of my official undergraduate transcripts. I have confirmed my decisions with AMCAS prior to my primary submission, and they assured me that it was correct to not submit a non-post secondary transcript for a class that was not accounted for credit during college.
I had also confirmed with John's Hopkins prior to submission, where they had informed me that they did not have any academic records for me, as I was never a college student at their institution. I independently checked on the National Student Clearinghouse, and no transcripts could be found for me for John's Hopkins.
But now my application is on hold because AMCAS wants me to provide a transcript for Johns Hopkins that I do not have. I had spoken to their support this afternoon, and was later replied through email confirming their decision to require me to submit a transcript from Johns Hopkins.
My question is: what would be the best action from here? A simple search of my information from AMCAS' end on databases like National Student Clearinghouse would have solved this confusion. John's Hopkins' CTY program does not utilize any transcript service used by AMCAS, nor does it send physical transcripts. It is also not one of the authorized etranscript senders for AMCAS (most likely due to them not being a post secondary institution).
I am going to contact my school's registrar tomorrow to see if I can have John's Hopkins taken off from my previous academic experience on my official transcript. But if that does not pan out, I really do not know what to do.
Sorry for the long post, I did not want to omit any details in this convoluted case
