AMCAS letter ID?

I am going to apply for med school in June, but i would like to have my recommendation letters done now, but i don't know how my writers can send their letter to the AAMC? And what is letter request form? Do i need it? How? Please help me out for this process!!

They have to submit them once AMCAS opens in May--they can't submit them to AMCAS before that. If that doesn't work for you, you can pay for a service like Interfolio.

Edit: Once AMCAS opens, you assign letter writers in the application, and then you can print out letter request forms for each letter writer.

You should read the AMCAS manual--it'll make the process a lot easier.

The application is not even open yet, therefore your letter writers cannot send anything in yet. Wait for the application to open (first week of May) and there will be a button you can click to generate the letter request form.
