amcas loe disappearing

I input the names of two letters before I submit my amcas. I keep trying to add the other four but everytime I do and save it log out then log back in only the two i listed before submission remain. I sent all of the letters to amcas today and put ID numbers for them but what am I supposed to do when those letters get there and none of my letters will stay on the site when I list them?

that happened to me as well...i think you need to assign the letters to the schools if you want the letters to disappear

Would have been nice if they told us that. I sent my letters to AMCAS anyway because I have the PDFs with the letter IDs. I'll let them figure it out.

i had the exact same problem you did. a previous person already stated it but i just want to emphasize, after you input your list of writers, you need to go back to the main menu and click submit all over again. That is the only way to save changes to your application. I learned the hard way. I initially had the same problem you encountered and thought my letter writers were listed already on amcas, and had sent my letters through my career center to amcas with the initial waivers, only to find that when i sent them, my letter writers were no longer listed on amcas!!! save yourself the money of sending in your letters twice, and make sure you save those changes to your app.. gl

I figured this out last night, finally! I kept adding my letters to schools clicking through continue, and thought I was done. The next time I would log in they wouldn't be assigned to schools anymore. The key was to click the submit button hiding on the main page. Pretty frustrating.

Holy crap, I didn't even realize there was a problem until I read this!😡

But sure enough, I go log into AMCAS and no letters showing....Oh well at least its fixed now...

FYI - Even if you submit letters to AMCAS with the incorrect ID numbers (like I did before I knew you had to resubmit) they give you the opportunity to match the letters yourself so you don't have to bother resending the letters with the correct ID number.
