How do they divide your grades out?

I know its overall and science categories.

How do they deal with post-bacc grades? Is everything you did after you graduated set into a category by itself?

And also, how succesful are post-bacc programs (the good ones) as far as acceptance rates? Are they higher than the typical average of 5-10% (or whatever)
THANKS!

Each has BCPM, All Others, and Total GPA associated with it along with the number of hours.

Thanks for the great answer!

Only leaves one last part:

What is the success rate of post-bacc programs?

I think Geoegetown's SMP has something like an 80% acceptance rate 2 years after graduation. That's the one I'm gunning for!

Obviously it depends on the program. Goucher's rate has been 100% for the past few years, Columbia and Tufts are both around 95% (I think), and Harvard Ext.'s is somewhere around 92-95% as well.

Do a search if you want more exact numbers - this has been covered before.

Bryn Mawr's is around 90-95% (or possibly higher), Penn's post-bacc around 85% and Special Science around 75%.

They do have a separate calculation for each education level, but there's also an overall GPA (BCPM & total) that's calculated using UG + PB (but not grad) courses.

In terms of acceptance rates, it's usually pretty meaningless because they can pre-select who they'll give a committee recommendation letter to based on GPA/MCAT, so the numbers are artificially high.

Postbacc grades are factored into your undergraduate total.

They are also listed separately as postbacc.
