AMCAS processing of 8/03 MCAT retakers

I just got my MCAT scores back (31P: 11V, 10P, 10B), and I am considering retesting in August. I've already submitted my AMCAS app, and it's been processed already. I did not indicate that I plan to take the August MCAT at the time I submitted. If I register for the test, will AMCAS be notified and have it reflected on my AMCAS app? Will they hold my primary until they receive the new scores?

AMCAS will not 'hold' your primary until August even were that the first time you took the MCAT. If you wish to let schools know this information so that they do not judge you 'as is' (and some will anyway, maybe positively) you need to contact the schools directly and have a note attached to your file.
