AMCAS Q: describing shadowing/research

How much detail do you think I should go into?

Also, I remember in the tips for AMCAS 2007 it said something about three essays - the PS, the Md/PhD essay and a "research essay"...? I don't recall the third from last year. Was it there? Is it new?

I'm pretty sure the research essay is only for MD/PhD applicants.

Not sure about that, guys. Straight from http://www.aamc.org/students/amcas/2007apptips.pdf:

"For the 2007 application year, you may be asked to provide up to three essays: Personal Comments
Essay, MD/PHD Essay, and Significant Research Experience Essay, depending upon your choice of
program type designation."

So unless it's a redundant essay, seems "significant research experience" may signify something else.
