Hi Everyone,

Does anyone know just what AMCAS will report in the upcomming months to schools. I know that as May 15 approaches, AMCAS reports to all of the schools who has been accepted where etc.... But I was wondering if it will also be reported that we declined some acceptance offers... anyone know the details on this?

i'm wondering because i've been accepted to a few schools (including a california school) but they're not my top choices, and I'm worried that some of the non-rolling schools on the east coast will see in a few months that i was accepted in california, they'll think that i don't want to leave california, and then they may not accept me.) i've heard a lot of med students say that this has happened to them and that Ad Comms have actually said that they were waitlisted because they didn't think they'd go if accepted.

Since I've already declined the acceptances to some of the earlier schools, will the non-rolling schools be able to see that? or will they only know that i was accepted, and assume that i was really happy about it?

Let me know if you know anything.... thanks! i know it's a random and lengthy post... 🙂

hi, can anyone help me on this, i saw like 200 people view the thread! please!!😍

yes that was great, thank you. so i guess they won't really base their decisions on other schools accepting you because they only find out AFTER they've made a decision on you also? i think that's what you meant... thanks!
