Hello,

I have a project I have been working on that qualifies as research - but, I also presented it at a conference with a poster presentation and I also got it published. How should this reflect in my AMCAS? I currently just have it under "research", but should I write it again under "presentation" and "publication"?

Thanks!

absolutely list it 3 times. Some adcom members are making a quick check through your application and will not take the time to read every description. Making it easy to discover that you have made a presentation & been published are going to speed up the process of reviewing your application and make it less likely that your achievements go unnoticed.

So just to be clear Lizzy, you'd actually recommend using three slots to describe the same activity? Or am I misunderstanding?

Yes, I am. As I get into reviewing applications this season, and see how people are reviewing this year, it can be very detrimental to have someone make a quick look at the label for the activity and miss the publication/presentation. If research is important, then using 3 slots still leaves 12 slots for other activities and that seems sufficient to me.
