hey all,

does anyone know that if you resubmit the AMCAS when it's "active", and designate additional schools, if the first schools you submitted get it again?? I have no idea how that works, please enlighten me.....

No. What happens is that the schools have to download the applicant data from AMCAS. The folks at AMCAS don't actually send it to the schools. So if you add your name to another school, they will get it in their next batch. The previous schools wouldn't see any change.

Hey guys, i wondered if all the schools see all the other schools you sent primaries to? If they do, couldnt that work against you if you sent alot? 😕
 
No, actually, they don't. They only know you sent it to them.

well at some point the med schools will know a lot more than you may want them to.
 
Unless they ask you for a complete copy of your AMCAS application (ala Tufts) as far as I know they don't see the other schools you've applied to... it can't hurt you to apply to a large number, especially if your stats are sub-par or you took the August MCAT... my question is, do schools know where you have gotten other interviews? Anybody got any info on that?
 
how would they know that...well i suposee if u say something like " i will be in the area..can i come then at the same time" or something..otherwise i would guess they would not know

you dont have to worry about anything like this until like march-mayish of next year. the only way they would know earlier is if you tell them during an interview or schools that have interviewed you like to talk to each other.
