I called AMCAS on Monday to confirm transcripts. I have sent two transcripts, and they have one for sure, and they say that the other one is from NYU and NOT SUNY Buffalo (which is what it's supposed to be). Now, I never attended NYU, but the dates of attendance on the NYU transcript are the same as the dates that I attended SUNY Buffalo. I called again yesterday, and they still haven't fixed it, so I guess it takes a few days to do that. How could they mess that up?? My co-worker has a similar problem, only that AMCAS has an extra transcript from Cornell Med (which she never attended, of course). What is going on here? 😕

Anyway....is anyone else having problems like this? If so, how long did it take AMCAS to fix it? My app should be processed next week or so, and I don't want this to back things up even more 🙄

you think it takes only a few days to fix such a problem? I got my transcripts in during march and april. had to send one school three different times and they added a school i'd never attended. they said they would fix that 2 months ago!!! called monday. still have extra transcript.

i doubt they ever fix it personally. They said it wouldn't really matter when verifiying. It would be obvious that i didn't attend that school as it is no where else on my application.

good luck,

Keep thinking positively. I have been working with AMCAS since April to get them to straighten out a problem with my transcripts. As I have mentioned before they said they were missing transcript #3, but they had my maiden name as my present which they could only have gotten from transcript #3. they couldn't figure out how to change my name and they couldn't find the missing transcript.

This week they finally were able to fix the whole entire mess. I now have my correct legal name under my social secruity number and the located my missing transcript that they had all along, but was in someone else's file.

Keep after them, and I'm sure they will fix it. Good luck.
