AMCAS verification

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Well, I went active on 6-26 and was processed last Friday finally, I did keep calling AMCAS to make sure nothing was wrong. Bottom line is that AMCAS has up to SIX WEEKS to process your application so if after six weeks yours has still not processed then I would worry. Regardless, I would call and see if there is anything holding you back....

If it makes you feel better, I became active on 6/26 as well and have not been verified either.

I completed my application and submitted it this past weekend. Where do I go to check on the status of my app? I must have overlooked that information.

Thanks in advance!

i was same as efex101; submitted 6/25...just got verified today. i got an e-mail when they verfified. not to make you compulsive...but check constantly during the day; they constantly update the status page (i thought it was only once a day but was wrong). hope this helps.

i am finally processed. thank god!

Here's one I haven't seen yet. I (like many others on the board) have been slowly developing ulcers from dealing with AMCAS and waiting for them to process my applicaiton. After sending four transcripts (started in April), they finally listed it as recieved on July 2nd, when I went active. Now I'm knawing on my keyboard waiting to be processed and transmitted.

Then today I recieve an e-mail from Wash U saying they've recieved my application from AMCAS and would like me to fill out a secondary. I go to the AMCAS page to see if I've been processed...nope. Admittedly, I'm not complaining that one of my schools has my app, just wondering how in the hell they got it.

Wash U was and is accepting secondaries from everyone that applies there without even looking at your AMCAS. Somehow although you are not yet verified by AMCAS, the schools do have the option of downloading the basic biographic info of all those that clicked on their school on AMCAS. So although you are still in line to verify grades, med schools can access other parts of your application....
